My Role: Organizer 

 

Objective:  The main objective of Career Road Trips are to allow students a half day trip to explore surrounding companies and network.  

 

Outcome: This semester (Spring 2016) I took 12 students to Mobile, AL to explore Rural Sourcing Inc. The day began with a presentation about the company and proper networking etiquette. Students were then driven to the site to enjoy a day of learning and networking. RSI employees had nothing but great things to say about the communication skills of our students. Students were then surveyed about their experience, and employers on the communication of UWF students. This initiative will be submitted for a QEP proposal for Fall 2016.
