My Role: Coordinator

 

Objective:  The main objective of the Intern for a Day program is for students to job shadow a professional. Students are able to spend a full day or a half day observing and often working with a professional in their field of choice. The experience will allow for students to see what a typical day on the job is like before committing.

 

Outcome: I began the pilot semester for this program this semester (Spring 2016). To date we have had 17 applicants and over 30 employers in the database. My goal is to have this program be a provided service for students in the 2016-2017 academic year.
